It is curious how statists -- especially of the neocon flavor -- *always* try to link those who are further to the 'right' than them as somehow being well to the 'left' of them.

"Before it was called "Memorial Day," it was called "Decoration Day." Decoration Day was celebrated by the families and friends of fallen Confederate soldiers after the War Between The States. Ladies would dress up in their finest attire and decorate the graves of the slain Confederate soldiers. People would come from all around. Pastors would preach appropriate messages after the graves were decorated. Then, a lavish outdoor feast would occur complete with lots of country and bluegrass music. This was the beginning of what churches now call "potluck" supper.
