She left the Control Room and called out to her daughter, letting her know
where she was as she headed toward the stairs.
"We're here, Kat... what's wrong? And where's Nick?"
Kat turned and ran to the library. She was relieved to see her mother
there, looking for the most part just like she always did. She ran to
Rachel hugging her fiercely. "mommy....I'm so glad you're okay. Where's
Alex is she okay?"
Alex stood up and followed Julia out of the room. She knew all this was
making her friend nervous, though that was most likely an understatement.
"I'm right here honey," Alex said stooping down beside her and brushing her
hair out of her eyes. "What's going on?"
Kat took a shakey breath. "Nothing.....I just.....I just got worried is
all."
