She figured Kat could hitch a ride with the rest of them in the UV to give
Julia and Nick a little time alone and looked at Alex to see if the thought
had crossed her mind as well, at the same time recording her little girl's
excitement when Alex handed her the cellphone to make arrangements for a
quickly made reception.
Kat was having a wonderful time spinning around, but she did stop long
enough to read the inscription out loud. "To our flowergirl," she read
slowly. "It is REALLY pretty. Can I wear it all the time." Then she
remembered something. "Mommy....can I please wear my new dress again and go
to the big party at the Legacy, PLEASE." She didnt' mention that it had
been Julia's idea. She'd been trying to figure a way to get an invitation
anyway, but she didn't want to get her friend in any trouble if Rachel
really hated the idea.
