Alex watched as Philip and the orderly helped Derek into the car.She waited
patiently for Kat and Julia to come out. She wanted to make sure the little
girl was all right. Though she wanted to get home and start working on
Derek's request. It wouldn't take long, but she knew Derek would want it
done right away and it would easier to slip away before the others came
back.
"Everything okay," Alex asked as Julia and Kat came outside.
Julia grinned back at Kat and let her slip down to hop into the jeep before
turning to Alex and teasing, "Uh huh. And we have lollipops for the boys
for being so good too."
She wiggled her eyebrows and showed them to her before tossing Alex her
favorite flavor and pocketing the rest and waving as she went to get into
the jeep as well and starting the engine "They can have them when we get
home. Philip, which one are you riding in?"
Julia looked over at Kat and Nick as Kat settled in and started to look back
at Philip for his answer, her gaze stopping on the ring on her finger as it
caught her eye and making her smile softly in response before blinking and
looking up to see Philip waving her off, that he would ride with Alex and
Derek and keeping a secretive grin to himself as he got into the backseat.
