"Yeah she's probably getting tired of waiting on us." Nick said.
"Doubt it considering she had to wait for the staff to finish with her."
Julia commented before they headed out and to the car. They each laid their
things gently in the trunk before climbing in and heading out.
Julia couldn't help but peek back at Kat, who looked like she was ready to
take off like a rocket but grinning from ear to ear with the secret she was
keeping with Julia and Nick.
She looked sideways at Nick and slipped her hand into his with a grin.
It was a matter of minutes before they reached the hospital and, like Julia
had predicted, the staff had just finished running the last test and was
releasing Rachel to return home with a clean bill of health.
"I am ready to run away now." Rachel greeted them as she sat in a wheel
chair, as per hospital regulations, and was pushed out by an orderly "And we
still have to get the stuff to make the tacos with too."
She hugged her daughter, looking at her curiously and with a curious smile
"You must have had a blast, kiddo.. you look like you can run a marathon."
She then looked at Julia and Nick "No trouble?"
