Nick stood there staring at Julia now. He didn't hear a
word Phillip had said. All he could think about was how
wonderful she looked. He smiled now as he noticed her looking at him.

Julia walked down the isle as Kat did her 'flower girl
duty' and met Nick's gaze, her own blue one warm and sparkling as she took him
in and mouthing 'my goofball' to him and feeling the tension and nervousness
leaving her. What was happening was meant to be and something they had
both waited for.
He looked so handsome and she returned his smile with one
of her own, even as she remembered the time Alex had snuck up on them with the
vidcam, asking even then when wedding bells were going to be heard for
them. She remembered having met his gaze then and seeing a spark of what
could be, even if he hadn't been ready then for the commitment they had already
made to each other and were, tonight, making 'official'.
Kat reached the altar first and then went to her position,
off to the side and the left of Julia as she made it to her place and faced

she leaned her head forward and gently touched her forehead to his and then
straightening as Philip hefted the book he was
