The shrill ringing of the phone was so loud to Alyssa's ears that she threw
her arms up around them to block out the noise. Alex heard the phone
ringing as she approached the office. She entered and put the glass of
juice on Derek's desk and answering the phone. "Luna Foundation." She
balanced the phone between her shoulder and her ear and walked over to the
couch kneeling down beside the little gitl She gently stroked her hair for
a moment and then slid the pillow under her head and tucked the rabbit in
her arms. Next she poured a dose of liquid Tylenol into the small cup and
gave it to her drink, followed by the juice to wash it down. Alyssa took
the medicin obediently and mopped at the tears on her cheeks.
