Soulchaser stood up slowly, followed by Moncrieff. Both men's postures were
different, with the Soulchaser confidently crossing his arms and Moncrieff
barely able to look the furies in the face. The two reluctant partners
awaited the verdict
Moncrieff didn't have long to wait as Fate lifted their hands and he was
immediately under their control. A pair of what looked like silver cuffs
surrounded his wrists and a force started pulling him forward. Seconds
later and the action so quick that Moncrieff barely had time to yell out one
obsenity and he disappeared in a wall of flames, never to utter a word again
and the others, save for Fate who had disappeared with the courtroom, were
left back on the grounds of Angel Island.
Jimmy blinked and looked around, a small but growing golden light starting
to build just a couple of feet from him "We won... hey little brother she
did it, we won!"
He picked Nick up and swung him around in a bearhug, only to spot the
growing light and set Nick down.
"You did it Jimmy." Julia said, also seeing the light and remembering......
something before turning to him "I just gave the facts. But now things have
been set right."
They were still in the circle of protection.
