I was thinking about ditching my hosting provider so I can just run my NTP servers from home over my FiOS Link. To get around the dynamic IP issues, I use DynDNS for my home link. What I'm wondering, is if the tool (http://www.pool.ntp.org/manage/servers) for managing servers is based on the DNS name you give it? Or does the IP address it discovers become the location that all public NTP queries are sent too? In short, I'm trying to be cheap about not having to pay for hosting anymore and not having to upgrade to a Business Internet link that would give me a static IP address. Thanks, _______________________________________________ pool mailing list [email protected] http://lists.ntp.org/listinfo/pool _______________________________________________ pool mailing list [email protected] http://lists.ntp.org/listinfo/pool
