About once a month I was hit by turk-telecom which was about
12-15k requests in about 10-30 minutes but dns rotation must
allow for them so if same hits I no longer notice.

  For the curious :

A long time ago we (in .nl) and some others, volunteered our ntp
server for the .tr domain ; traffic has been a steady 1000+ hits
  per second ever since.

To keep our stats-scripts working, we have to reset the ntp hit
counters ~ every two weeks :-) ; see (under 'traffic') :

    http://www.cs.uu.nl/stats/ntp/ntpstats-metronoom.dmz.cs.uu.nl.html

I'm told that in the traffic stats of our provider, this server
stands out for it's extremely high number of flows ; luckily
our provider is of the 'understanding' kind.

  Groeten,

  Henk Penning
