You should probably scan the archives before asking any questions. ---------- I don't think there will be any problems with GPS or NTP. The core of GPS already doesn't use leap seconds. There is a field updated by the ground stations that tells the difference between GPS time and UTC. That's the number of leap seconds that have happened since GPS was started. NTP will just not have any new leap seconds. If we are really sure they won't come back, we could eliminate some code and simplify some other areas. (I think that field is also used for a good/no-good flag we we can't just throw it all away.) -- These are my opinions, not necessarily my employer's.
