Hello everyone...

Earlier today I voiced my concern that virtualactive was stamping our e-
mail with a tracking number. I wrote the owner of the service asking
him what purpose he had in doing this and here is his my response to
his response:

On the contrary. The tracking number shows up obtrusively in every
message. It is like a hot iron brand -- insulting and demeaning. Your
actions are misguided and foolish to say the least. You are in effect
spying on your own users. You are telling each and every one of your
users that they are spammers. How dare you take such a draconian
attitude toward the very people that serve to increase your revenue.
You are without a doubt the lowest form of human paranoia I've ever
encountered in the Internet. :-(

I am the owner of the POP3 mailing list. We feature free remote pop3
services for legitimate and honest uses. I have no choice now but to
report your service as spyware and advise our members to stay clear. I
will also report your service to the anti-spyware sites, such as
lavasoft.de as a spyware service. Your actions are completely
despicable and unhonorable and for that, we can only wish your dot com
total failure and you can join the other losers in the Internet. The
sooner the better.

---end my letter---

Comments anyone?
