I downloaded Netscape 6 to check my AOL mail because it's almost like having a real
mail program, and when I installed it I found that it lets you check Netscape.net mail
too!

Apparently they use some kind of IMAP server that works with the AOL Instant Messenger
parts, so you can only connect to it in Netscape 6 and only if you install the AIM.
If
you have an AOL screenname you can have a Netscape.net account in the same name with
no problem -- they even seem to have started checking both on the AIM mil
manager screen -- but you can't seem to have both accounts accessed in Netscape 6 --
you always seem to get the AOL mail. Sigh.

It's not really a very good mail program, but it is better than the AOL mail screen --
you can drag things to folders and have some more power -- so that's why I got it.
I'm not sure
that you would want to go get it just for a netscape.net address.

It even turns out that you can also get a cswebmail.com address with your AOL or
Netscape screen name, which is like the AltaVista mail, it just has forwarding. Three
with one
name! Imagine!
