There has been a few interesting points raised, I don't know if the person
who said it (possibly Marion) was having a laugh but The Boy with the Arab
Strap is far from rubbish. I personally believe it to be their best work by
some margin. It is a progression from the other two musically and
lyrically, but hey i realize you people hate to admit new stuff by bands is
good and would much rather say Tigermilk is best just for the sake of
seeming like an original fan, or something. There is that feeling that you
are a better fan and can say oh i had tigermilk when it was first released,
i know more about the band and then slag them off when they become too
popular for your liking.
Anyway i would like to hear peoples views on this statement, 'Stuart
Murdoch is the greatest lyricist ever' It may seem like a stupid statement
but i am interested in what people think. I know it is all about opinions
but some things are facts ,like the Beatles are the best band the world has
seen. One of my favourite Murdoch lines is... 'maybe if i shut my eyes ,
the trouble will be split between us.' Fantastic.
The underground avant garde indie pop scene is growing everyday with the
news that a lo-fi band from San Fransico called Schmolak have just been
signed. I cant wait to heat them!
