RANDY HOWARD,the Society for the Preservation of Bluegrass Music in America's Bluegrass Fiddle Player of the Year 1996 & 1997, has won every major fiddle competition in America, including Union Grove and the Grand Master Championship. In November he won his 12th National Fiddle Competition at Mountain View, Arkansas, breaking the record previously held by Scotty Stoneman. He has recorded with Shelby Lynn, J.D.Crowe, the Lonesome River Band, Chet Atkins, Garth Brooks, Blackhawk and Kathy Chiavola, with whom he has toured Europe ten times.
