A funny Willie story: In high school my husband (Alain) dated the daughter of one of Jimmy Carter's best friends from GA. This man, Frank Moore, was also very good friends with Willie Nelson. One day Alain was over at the Moore's house and saw a picture of Frank, Jimmy and Willie posing with their arms around each other in the Oval Office while Jimmy was President. Willie was on crutches in the photo so Alain asked Frank what had happened to Willie. Frank told him that just before the photo was taken Willie had been informed that some impending drug charges against him had been dropped and he got so excited he jumped up and came down wrong and broke his ankle. Honest to God, true story!
