I just got some new CDs based on recommendations that I have read here. I
particularly want to add to the heap of praise being poured on Cisco's
"Wishing You Well from the Pink Motel." This is a very good record...
I am listening to Lou Ford's "Sad, but Familiar," about which someone asked
recently. I have to say that I am very surprised with it. It is not what
I was expecting. Judging from their excellent contribution to Revival II i
was expecting something a bit louder and more raw. Even the same song, "So
Far Gone," lacks a bit of the power that the RII version has. The album
isn't bad, and I expect it to grow on me...just surprised by it.
About Son Volt...I am wondering if anyone who may have been at the Raleigh
show on Friday was familiar with the song they played in the middle of
"Chickamauga," or if anyone knows where I might be able to find setlists
for the current tour...
