I switched from 3,8.19 to 3.8.20, got a page fault moment I
launched my normal configuration. My normal config runs all kinds of
stuff at startup, So I never got a chance to find out what the
problem was. I rolled back to 3.8.19 immediately. My scripts and
pcf require esc char of \. If 3.8.20 starts up with an empty esc
char, who knows what was happening?

If I get time I'll turn off my startup scripts before switching over
to 3.8.20 and see if that lets me in long enough to fiddle with esc
char.
