I use Zoot (but not PP). Zoot does trap the Alt-Z keystroke
regardless of which app is focused. It does this so that
you can quickly add new items or search. You can switch
it off with Tools -> Options -> Hardware -> Enable Zooter
Hotkey. See if that helps - if Michael's not relying on
Alt-Z, of course.

Also, it's compiled under a 16-bit version of VB which is
probably not doing the OS any favours. Fantastic program,
though.
