Thank you Brian

I've discovered in the *Keys command in the button "Enter keys to
send.Use button to select key or record keys." an entry {datelong}
and {time} and I have this in the box: {datelong}  {time} - {space}
which pastes Sunday 5 August 2007 10:10:51 - into the Excel cell
which is what I wanted. Thanks Bruce.

However {datelong} uses the Regional setting in Control panel. The
question is how do add an entry to the entries when I click the button
that formats the date as above "ddd dd mmm yy h:mm" without altering
the settings in Control Panel as I may not have access to it at work?

Thank you

Jean
