Actually, what they are saying is that they _can't_ honor it. If VST 
won't send them the thing, they can't very well send it to you.

If you look carefully at the fine print every mail order vendor has 
provisions in place for unilaterally cancelling an order, refunding you 
any money, and so forth. There's no legal recourse to take.

It cost you nothing but some time and aggravation. Don't buy from them 
again. Someone else will sell you the HDD, Check with VST, as they 
suggested. If it's an out-of-production item, then there's not a lot you 
_can_ do about it.
