I got curious and tried making a disk image from one of my music cds. I made them read only, and tried both the compressed and non compressed options, but it didn't work. For both I got a message that "this file type will not work on this Mac Os computer"(?!) when trying to mount the image with Disk Copy. Dropping the image on Stuffit Expander produced "Shrink Wrap engine reported an error".
