Many PowerBooks do not provide terminator power to the (external) SCSI bus, 
so do not expect that TERMPWR is available from the host interface.

Plug the CD-ROM to provide terminator power to the internal terminator, and 
to provide termination to the SCSI bus.

Many CD-ROMs have only one option, and this is to provide self-terminator 
power, and to provide termination to the bus.
