Howdy, It's me, the guy with the broken latch. I want to first say thank you to everyone that has responded to my previous problem. It sounds like something simple to fix and I will probably fix it for sure after I get this major problem resolved. On with the show.....
Ok, here is the deal. I was surfing the net last night with no problems. I shut my machine down the correct way with the power button and went to bed. I got up this morning went to work and came home to my beloved 3400c. I lift the lid and pressed the power button......nothing. So I went about trouble shooting....I tried starting it with the keyboard reset configuration or what some call the vulcan death grip. That didn't work. Next, I pressed the reset button on the back, that didn't work. I unplugged and plugged the battery and power cable, that didn't work. I opened up the machine to check to see if the keyboard came loose, it didn't. I checked to see if the RAM had came loose, it didn't. I plugged a keyboard into the adb port, that didn't work. So now I am at a loss. Fortunately I have another computer that I can use to get online with. I hope someone can point me towards something that I haven't tried yet.
