Even if the drivers aren't working you should get a link light when you
first hook the cables up, I think.  It would then go OUT perhaps but at
first connect to a powered up it should work.

Sounds like the card is dead to me, or you still have wrong cables.  You
were going to try and see if you had a match for part #s based on what I
have that works; any matches?  Test it in a PC laptop?

I'll email and/or post the drivers I have, but I don't think that's likely
your problem.

I'd be happy to mail you a working setup to try but it's really hard for me
to get to post offices with my work schedule so patience is
recommended/needed for that.
