Not long ago, I purchased a PowerBook 1400C. I love it. It came to me with a Global Village 56K Modem/Ethernet PC card. Upon sliding it into either card slot however, I receive the following error message, "The correct software you need to use the PC Card in the 'Upper/Lower PC Card Slot' is not installed. Do you want to eject the card now?" Each attempt to install GV software left on the hard disk by the previous owner, results in a request to insert Disk 1. As you might have guessed, I don't have Disk 1, 2, or 3 for that matter. So I ask you, any idea where can I get the software to make my PC card usable? Is there Apple software designed solely for the activation of the slots, or does the proper Global Village software cure the problem?
