Does anyone know why my PB5300 (32MB, OS 8.5.1) has an aversion to HyperCard
2.1? It runs fine on my desktop Mac (a 7600, 112MB, 8.6), but tells me it
has "unexpectedly quit . . . error type 1) on the powerbook. Trashing the
program and replacing it with a good copy from the other computer seems to
work (it opens and runs normally), but after a sleep or shutdown error type
1 takes over again. Doesn't this error code refer to a memory problem? --
I thought maybe poor old HyperCard didn't like operating on virtual memory,
so tried it with no other programs open so it could luxuriate in the whole
32 MB, but to no avail. There are some stacks like addresses and calendars
that it would be particularly useful to be able to use on the PB, so I'd
really like to fix this.

TIA,
Victoria
