Have you turned on "used jointly" (or something like that; it is called "Gemeinschaftlich nutzen" in the German localized system; it is the second item of "Get info") for your hard disk in question? Otherwise it will not show up in the Chooser. Another point to consider: you have to make sure that AppleTalk and the printer do not use the same port. Hope this helps.
