To expand on this.....Yes, I have the right cable (the dark one) There was no mention 
of 'termination' in the manual that I read...I may be blind, though...
I did go through the Powerbook Setup and it is set to SCSI ID#2.
Do I need to disable the Apple CD Player? The manual mentioned disabling any other 
SCSI devices...
