I didn't know that; that's neat.  I overlooked that checkbox addition to
OS9 file sharing dialog.  I think that I might have never actually opened
the file sharing control panel in OS 9 in all this time- just used users
and groups to set up accounts, and the control strip to turn sharing on/off
:)

I have always set up my ftpd so that if you log in with the right privs you
can access shared network volumes, which has always given me access to my
whole LAN from anywhere I can run an ftp client (and is nicely
cross-platform as a result) but that IP feature might come in handy
sometime.
