I'm visiting friends for the holiday; where I am, there's a neat nighttime-only radio station run by a guy from his house, that plays some neat music that's hard to find.
I could swap a bunch of tapes in and out of a recorder all night, and then digitize them on my ATI card on my esktop once I get home, but it would be neat to record them to my 1400 somehow. I don't have the little Microphone with me, nor do I like the quality I would get that way; is there a way to kludge something that would work betwen a line-out and the mic in on the powerbook? I might be able to find a little mike at a goodwill or someplace here (with the extra long jack), but I'm not sure the input signal would be right if I used line out from the stereo or whatever. And I recall that the extra long jack is to provide power out to the mic, which I wouldn't need really if hooking to a line out- would that kill my little mic jack? I'm picking up a bunch of tapes 'cos I'm pretty sure that's the only way I can do it. Thanks for thoughts; Brian -- PowerBooks is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
