You can do it yourself,  if taking it completely apart
doesn't creep you out.  It's not exactly accessible
(it's under the palmrest next to the trackpad attached
to the roof of the lower case).

Battery only, I'm afraid, though you don't have to
shut down a 1400 to change the drive in the right bay,
sleeping it before swapping will do fine.
