Well, since my repair skills are limited to a hammer (not a good thing to do with electronics :) ) I got a PB 5300c off the swap list. Nice machine and I can do wifi. I've got it pretty much set up the way I want, except:
it came with a Global Village PowerPort PlatinumPro card. I'd like to use it with the ethernet connection for our home DSL, but when I have the card in the slot, OS 8.1 (which can on the machine) tells me that there's no drivers installed, and just gives me a generic modem icon. I've tried the GV website but nothing there seems to be the drivers I need. Anyone have any suggestions? Like I said, I'd like to use this with the DSL. Thanks!
