If he physically got the card into the PCMCIA slot, then it must be 16bit, non-cardbus, for a cardbus card wouldnt fit without modification.

hmm... that's a good point. Why is it such a pain to pull up specs for Orinoco products?

So perhaps there's something else going on with it.

It should have stamped on the back the voltage and 16 or 32- bit...
