For years I have used VST expansion-bay Zip drive modules in several PowerBook 3400c's 
running various versions of Mac OS, but have never needed to install VST-specific 
drivers.  Recent Mac OS include drivers for Zip drives, sometimes in the CD Extras 
folder.  What OS are you running?
