I'm running a pretty minimal 9.1. Can anyone tell me more about getting around this error?

Wow, you get that message from the installer? That's got to be _old_ software - I've never run into an installer that didn't work in OS 9. The solution is to back down to 8.6 (either by booting from a CD or a second system folder) or earlier to install the software. Grab the bits and pieces it installs, then copy them to your OS 9 system folder...

Either way, the installer needs an update to run in OS 9 - that's what the message you posted was telling you.

Peace,
Drew
