Now I'm loading software and am wondering if I should go for Netscape 6.2.2 or if Netscape 7.02 would be better.
7.02 has some nice features (pop-up blocking and better security)
I was thinking that 7.02 would take more RAM (I've only got 64 MB) but after installing 6.2 on the 1400 I see it takes 28 Mb which is the same as 7.02 takes on the G3 Lombard.
Is there any reason not to use 7.02?

7.02 is OS X only.

Not quite. Netscape 7.0 and even 7.1 do run under Mac OS 8.6 and 9.1, but prefer 10.1 or later. You may be thinking of Netscape 7.2.

Ack, you're right. Wamcom's still the best bet, imo, since it's based on a later build of Mozilla than those.
