I'm sorry I thought you meant stable ideal configuration.
The machine is only unstable when the new 24mb card is installed, and/or
when the sonnet 466 is installed

But not the other 24 MB card at all?
Sounds like both units are faulty.
How about the tech support that comes with them?
Any help there?
