What OS is the G3?
OS X but it has 9 - will that make a difference?
I use OS 9.1 with some odds and ends extensions so I'm not sure what
is stock and what is not anymore. Some are installed by MS Office too>
I can usually find a way to open a PC file.on my system.
Remove the file extension on a duplicate copy of the file.
Done - no joy
Can you reassign a program to open the file?
No
What file extension does it have?
Can you find a program to convert the file if needed?
No
On versiontracker.com you might find a shareware program that will
help with this.
If this is a PC only file such as .exe it wont help at all.
But I take you to mean the files were written as PC files by your G3?
Stuffit should open archived files anyway, I believe
Won't play
Is the disk formatted in Fat 32?
? - Will look
Could you download again and reformat the ZIP disk to Mac HFS or HFS+.?
But OS 9-10 should have no trouble with Fat 32.
If you wrote the disk on the G3 I see no reason for it to turn up as
a PC file unless it started
out that way or somehow was selected to be written as such.
