Given that I'm booting into 10.4 on my Pismo right now ;-) I'd say yes.
Depending on what you want to spend, He's right a Pismo or better.
$500 will probably get you all the way into Titanium G4, or possibly
even G4 iBook territory.
Good luck finding someone demented enough to trade down on a PC
laptop for a Powerbook. There's a few poor souls on the LEM swap list
who keep trying "Won't ANYBODY trade their powerbook for my <
theoretically more powerful> PC ??"
