I found a Mac Portable for sale (locally), and plan to buy it. I know it's a little old (:-P), but was wondering two things -

1) Is the monitor port on the back the standard port for all VGA monitors?

For complete technical specifications of the Macintosh Portable, read the following Apple Support document:
<http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=112174>

The HDI-15 video port was common on early PowerBooks. My three PowerBook 3400c/Kanga all came with adapters for connection to external VGA monitors.
