Well, since I got my new PowerBook 520c, the hard drive has made the same noise as my old one did, so I just assumed that it was a noise all of them made. But, nothing can ever go right. Last night, I turned the PowerBook on and the hard drive hesitated to spin up, and then made a high pitched squealing noise for a fraction of a second. Then, it spun up like normal. It's working perfect right now. Is this one toast too? Thanks!
