The VST battery charger - the one always seen on Ebay for $5 or $10 - requires the use of the AC adapter from the 5300/190 Powerbook to charges 5300/190 NiMH batteries. Using it to charge 3400c batteries requires the use of the seldom-seen internal AC adapter for the 3400c. The internal AC adapter module has two ports on the outside: one for the 2-prong AC cord, and a small port for a cord that runs from the module to the VST battery charger. Correct me if I am mistaken, anyone... Now, Absolute made a battery charger that charges 5300/190 NiMH, and 3400c Li-Ion battery by itself; it uses its own AC adapter. An external charger for the 2400c was never offered . xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo Ivy F., AL "Roll Tide!"
