Support for daily operations includes managing UNIX tickets for SAP related incidents and UNIX changes.* • Position requires candidate to carry a pager and provide rotational on-call UNIX support. • Candidate will train to and follow all applicable Abbott Standard Operating procedures for infrastructure change and incident management. BMC Remedy is used for managing incident and change management. • Candidate must have experience in supporting HP-UX 11.23 or above as well as Sun Solaris 9/Solaris 10. Preferred candidate has experience in Veritas (VCS) high availability or HP MC Service Guard configuration and operations. • Candidate should have experience in Veritas Volume Manager and Filesystem. • UNIX Tools used at Abbott include BMC Patrol, Legato Networker and Netbackup for backups, HP CIM, and Powerbroker. Some knowledge of tools is preferred. • Candidate will participate in building and configuring new UNIX servers for SAP related projects.
