Duration: 12 months (will go up to 3 years) *NOTE:- * *The candidate should have a working background with Educational institutions* *Key Skills:- SQL, “Ellucian Insights”, “Ellucian Banner”, Business Objects, and Argos* *Send me the resumes to [email protected] <[email protected]>* *Job Description:* The selected candidate will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of customized data models, reports, and/or dashboards using Ellucian Insights (a comprehensive reporting and data analytics tool utilizing both the GUI interface and PostgreSQL coding) and SQL development as needed to support the Integrations team. The role requires a deep understanding of Ellucian data structures, Insights Objects, report development, and business analysis to deliver high-quality, actionable insights for the organization. *Scope of Work* Under the direction of the Reporting Technical Lead of the SIS project, the Ellucian Insights Report Writer/SQL Developer will be tasked with the following. *Report Development and Design:* - Review and as needed, create new Data Specification Documents (requirements) to ensure they include the required information from the Reports Inventory Smartsheet and data mapping documents, and follow naming standards. - Leverage Ellucian’s data model to create, modify, and optimize reports, dashboards, or data models based on the Data Specification Document. - Develop customized reports, dashboards, and/or data models using Ellucian Insights to provide meaningful and actionable data. - SQL: Develop/maintain PostgreSQL snippets as appropriate within the Insights environment. Provide SQL development/maintenance as needed to support the Integrations team. *Data Analysis and Reporting:* - Analyze data from Ellucian SIS (Student Information System) and other relevant data sources as appropriate. - Design appropriate objects (reports, dashboards, data models, SQL code) to enhance decision-making processes across departments. *Collaboration**:* - Work closely with departmental teams (e.g., Institutional Research, Information Technology, Academic Affairs) to gather report specifications and feedback on delivered objects. - Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues. - Openly share knowledge on all work. This may include: issues encountered, resolutions to issues, and workarounds implemented. *Report Maintenance and Optimization:* - Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of all objects (reports, dashboards, data models, SQL code, etc.). - Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to object (reports, dashboards, data models, etc.) execution and data quality. *Documentation and Training:* - Document object (reports, dashboards, data models) creation processes, data sources, and methodologies. - Provide training and support to colleagues and/or end-users on how to use and interpret reports. *Skills Required:- * *Report Writer/SQL Developer Experience needed:* · 5+ years within a reporting realm preferably in a college or university setting developing business intelligence solutions based on reporting tools · 5+ years of SQL programming skills - preferably in a data warehouse environment · 5+ years of demonstrated experience solving business challenges using Argos, Ellucian Insights, and Business Objects · 5+ years of experience with Banner tables across the entire Banner software suite *Ellucian Insights Report Writer/SQL Developer:* - Develop and deploy business intelligence solutions based on supported Ellucian Banner reporting tools, including Ellucian Insights and business objects, using data sourced from Banner and the Operational Data Store (ODS) - Openly share knowledge on object creation/maintenance and any other Ellucian tools.
