Check PRAM battery. Zap PRAM (command-option-r-p). Check with another monitor? What were the original resolutions available? Check seating of any IC's with sockets on graphic card. Inspect video port for any signs of pins in the card (broken off from old monitor and stuck in the plug). Check monitor plug for bent pins (usually missing a couple if using standard D15 VGA connector). Many things were dislodged in the 'fall', could some jumpers have popped off the gfx card (does it have jumpers?).
