I have a sonnet g3/400, powerwave, 9.1, 10.1.5, Ixmicro UltimateRez 3D. I get the splinters sporadically in 9.1, but never in X. I would think the gfx card upgrade would fix it. CPU cooler fan is not neccessary (stock one you removed).
