ATA/IDE card seems to make sense (it's what MacAddict recommended a couple of years ago for upgrading a Power Computing machine). New SCSI drives are getting a little harder to find, and the ATA drives have tons more space. Not sure about the performance. (Would like to hear about that from a 'sperienced ATA user.) > video card-looking at Radeon 7000 > accelerator-want at least 500mz I've seen a new Sonnet G4/700 going for $299. Definitely. Even if it's a Microsoft Wheel Mouse (criminally inexpensive and wonderful to use). That will use one of your new USB ports. > I know I could probably buy a new system, but this is sort of a project I > have started with my son.
