I picked up a Power Center Pro 210 desktop to play with that will not chime
most of the time. It seems to chime at random and only once in a while. I
put in a good pram battery and reset the cuda button and it still repeats
the same behavior. The fan is getting power and works. Power goes to the
PCI riser board. I had a SCSI card in one of the slots and its small light
went on when the machine powered up. I am getting no video signal to a good
monitor even when it chimes. I tried both video out ports. I used an Apple
12 inch RGB monitor as well as a 15 inch multiscan monitor with a vga
connection. The ram I'm using is tested good. Could the mother board be
bad? Could the PCI riser card be bad? What is the likelyhood that the
processor and rom simm are bad? Does this model have a history of problems?
Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks.

John
