The following is only of partial help; but to help me in viewing my
attachments folder and deleting ones I don't want, such as "line.gif" I
use Graphic Converter to browse the folder attachments. If at all
possible, Graphic Converter will make a preview of each file, so it
enables me to at least delete the graphics files I don't want and to
identify the .vcf files. Others of course it doesn't touch, that is why
it is only a partial help.

I notice that Graphic Converter is now coming on at least new PowerBooks.
I paid for mine eventually but not until I'd used it for a year.
